We have just passed our two year operational milestone - since April 2011 we have fed 561 Adults and Children and in the last 3 months have seen 50% more people benefit from our service

We are extremely thankful for the kind and very generous donations of food. It has been a bumper harvest!
Consequently we are currently not accepting any more food donations except for the North Cheam Food Drive already arranged for Nov 12th

We have recently been awarded a small amount of funding from Thames Community Foundation to cover some storage costs for the next year and a contribution towards ongoing management of the project over next 6 months

We are currently seeking volunteers to help with our meet and greeting of clients on Monday and Friday 12-2 and Wednesday 6.30-8pm. We are also seeking extra help with the sorting and transportation of food at and between storage and distribution centres. If you are intersted please go to "how to get involved"/volunteers

Celebrate Sutton is designed to celebrate what the Church is doing in Sutton. Although the turnout was less than usual there was a generous offering of £333 taken for the Sutton Foodbank.

Sutton Foodbank is now officially part of Sutton Community Works which is a new Charity set up to oversee community projects in Sutton and birth new ones.

So far we have helped 368 Adults and 237 Children from our centres at Sutton Salvation Army and Apple Lodge. Clients are referred from a total of 45 partners ranging from social services, probation, citizens advice to childrens centres and schools

A Celebration marking our first year in operation, recognising the valuable work of our volunteers and our partnership with a number of key agencies will take place on Wed 23rd March from 7.15pm at the Sutton Salvation Army [poster to download]

We have now given food to 280 Adults and 180 Children. The main reason for emergency crisis has been benefit delay/cuts in 40% of our clients.

Schools (see schools page) and Churches (see churches page) are bringing in 100's of Kgs of food from generous harvest collections.

Our Supermarket Collection at Tesco's brought in over a tonne of food - thanks so much for all who volunteered on the day, the storage team who have weighed and sorted it and for all those generous shoppers.

We have moved from Hallmead to Farm Road Building in Farm Road, St.Helier which will act as our ongoing storage centre.

We recently received £1,000 (and also food) from Greenshaw High School Mufti day. We have also been able to do a number of lessons to year 7 pupils on the Foodbank as an example of a Christian Charity as part of their RE curriculum.
Sutton foodbank gives free emergency food to people in crisis. We continue to provide help and support until the appropriate agencies can step in.
